Otro is the newest addition to acclaimed boutique hoteliers, Grupo Habita. Situated directly across from the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzman and its pedestrian-only plaza, the hotel appears unassuming from the street. Behind its historic façade is a contemporary compound that extends the vibrancy of the public square through a series of picturesque courtyards, a lively roof terrace with pool, and decadent spa, aptly named "Otro Mundo". The hotel is contemporary Oaxaca at its finest and the rooftop is the site of our “Rompe Hielos” or “Ice Breaker” on Friday, February 21st.

The airport hosts many National flights but is a 45-minute drive (without traffic) from the City Center and NOT the International airport many of you will likely fly into. If you’re planning a connection or making a stop over, make sure you are aware there are 2 Mexico City airports when booking.
Ground Transportation
Most of Oaxaca City is explored on foot. When traveling longer distances, we recommend taxis which are readily available and identifiable as maroon and white cars one can easily hail on the street. They should all be metered and only accept cash. Tipping 5%-10% is suggested. There are no Ubers or Lyfts in Oaxaca City but if you would like to hire a taxi or shuttle with a driver for an excursion, either we or your hotel can assist with that.
Only one company is permitted to operate pick up from OAX. Oaxaca Airport Transportation offers professional, reliable and affordable transfers on a one-way and round-trip basis between Oaxaca Airport, Oaxaca City and the entire coast of Oaxaca. Their kiosk is located inside the airport outside of the baggage claim. You can purchase your fare at the kiosk subject to availability or you can book ahead through this link. Those traveling in groups may want to book ahead to secure the particular option desired. Payment by any major credit card or cash is accepted and there are ATMs conveniently located in the vicinity near the kiosk.
Oaxaca Airport Transportation offers the below transportation options. All fares are quoted on a one-way basis from Oaxaca Airport to Oaxaca City and can also be booked through the above link for your return to the airport.
-
Single passenger seat in a shared shuttle: $12.50 USD per person.
-
